How long have you been active with HRMAC?
I have been involved with HRMAC for over two years now.

What was the experience or motivating factor that compelled you to become active with HRMAC? Did someone influence you to join?
Obviously, this HR world is small and as a Human Resource Recruiter, it is encouraged to network and stay up to date on all trends in the marketplace. My entire team is greatly involved in many different Associations. Personally, I was drawn to HRMAC based on the individuals I had met at different events. From there, I grew even more interest in the different discussions and topics that were being presented. I have always been one that has an appreciation for continuing to learn and grow and have found great success with this passion from HRMAC.

What HRMAC positions have you held or committees have you been a part of?
I have been a member of the Young HR Leaders interest group and am now the co-chair of the same interest group.

How has HRMAC contributed to your leadership skills and experience?
HRMAC has contributed to my leadership skills and experience in many different ways. To start, it has been great network for me both professionally and personally. I also feel that HRMAC has opened up leadership doors by heading up committees, connecting with experienced and passionate panelists, and developing my own personal brand. I also can safely say that I always walk away learning something new!

What three business tips can you share with others?
Three business tips I would share would be to:

  • Always network (meet and speak to anyone and everyone-there is always time for a cup of coffee)
  • Stay up to date on trends and changes within Human Resources
  • Make sure you love what you do and where you are doing it.

What is your guilty pleasure?

What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about many things. One in particular that stands out to me would be the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation. I am the president of our young professionals’ board and have a passion for finding the cure to pediatric cancer.
