There’s corporate DNA — the vision and values that bind an organization together — and then there’s real DNA. Brothers Jeff and Andy Harmening share both. Jeff is the CEO of Minneapolis-based General Mills, the food company behind Cheerios, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury and dozens of other iconic brands. Andy leads consumer and business banking as a Senior Executive Vice President at Huntington National Bank. Founded in 1866, the bank has grown to more than $100 billion in assets.
The brothers grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana, seeing business first-hand through their mother’s eyes as a Vice President of a local hospital and the Dean of Nursing at Indiana State University. They’ll talk about how their shared experiences resulted in shared priorities around:
Rallying their teams behind a shared purpose
Ensuring customers come first
Investing in digital innovation and big data
Growth after acquisition
