Green City Rising: Chicago’s Living Network of Neighborhood Arboreta
Morton Arboretum
What makes a city vibrant? And how can business leaders champion new ideas to cultivate Chicago’s vibrancy advantage?
At this upcoming Executives’ Club experience, presented in partnership with World Business Chicago and Gensler, attendees will hear pitches from six finalists behind Horizon Lines: Visions for Chicago 2050, a citywide initiative designed to surface bold, future-focused ideas for Chicago’s next chapter.
From fighting climate change by expanding Chicago’s tree canopy to capping our highways to turn them into parks, the short presentations explore how Chicago can become more vibrant, connected, inclusive, and globally competitive over the next 25 years.
A subsequent networking reception is designed to connect presenters and audience members for engagement, direct feedback, and opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.
Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of how cities create the conditions for growth, belonging, innovation, and investment. From public space and neighborhood energy to arts, mobility, nightlife, talent attraction, and the future of work, vibrant cities shape how people experience opportunity — and whether they choose to stay, invest, build, and lead there.
Together, we will explore what a more dynamic, connected, and globally competitive Chicago could look like and the leadership required to help shape it.
The Executives’ Club of Chicago partners with members of the media to share stories of leadership and impact. For interviews or event coverage opportunities, please contact our Head of Brand & Communications Katy Broom.
