While planning for Chicago’s reopening amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot insisted that the City must also focus on building a long-term plan to recover from the virus’ devastating impacts. In April, Mayor Lightfoot, in partnership with former White House Chief of Staff Sam Skinner, established a one-of-a-kind COVID-19 Recovery Task Force, comprised of more than 150 experts from a wide range of industries, regional government leaders, community-based partners and policymakers, to advise the City on its recovery efforts.

On Thursday, July 9, the City of Chicago publicly released the advisory report compiled by the Recovery Task Force, which outlined a set of 17 recommendations to address many of Chicago’s challenges that were amplified by COVID-19 and recent civil unrest. Following Mayor Lightfoot’s keynote remarks, she will discuss the COVID-19 Recovery Task Force, their advisory report, and Chicago’s plans for continued reopening and long-term recovery with the Executives’ Club of Chicago President & CEO, Margaret Mueller.  Please join us on Thursday, July 16 at Noon for this insightful conversation about the City’s future.
