Internship Overview:

The Digital Intern will work directly with the Chief Content and Communications Officer and the Digital Events Producer in video, live streaming, and podcast production. Responsibilities include but not limited to producing sizzle reels, research podcast talent for the Executive’s Exchange, and assisting in virtual productions. This internship is an excellent opportunity to build a portfolio with a prestigious, local business organization and gain experience in podcast and virtual productions.

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the Executive’s Exchange podcast: pre-production, production and post-production not limited to researching talent, editing audio, writing summaries and timestamps
  • Create cut-downs, shortened versions, of approved master cuts
  • Edit, format, and prep video content requests for social media
  • Manage and archive files as directed
  • Adapt to scheduling changes and willingness to shift gears when necessary
  • Must be able to meet work within deadlines for multiple assigned projects

Qualifications:

  • A degree in progress in the field of Film, Media Arts, Broadcast Journalism, Advertising/Marketing and/or equivalent professional experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator required)
  • Must maintain a basic understanding of video and digital processes as they relate to video production/editing in a changing technical landscape
  • Proficiency in audio/sound editing techniques
  • Attention to detail and an ability to take and implement direction, feedback, and delivery of assets
  • Organized and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and responsibility
  • Camera experience (professional camcorder and/or DSLR) (preferred but not required)
  • Experience or interest in streaming software i.e. OBS, Vimeo Livestream Studio, Vmix or similar software (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in editing podcasts (preferred but not required)

Hours: ~16 hours/ week. Schedule TBD upon placement
Term: Ongoing Opportunities. Summer, Fall Semester, or Spring semester duration
Rate: School credit when applicable
