Instructor Bio

Corey Flournoy is a highly accomplished leader in the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) space. He is the co-founder of Creative Outreach Consulting, a Certified Professional Diversity Coach, and an adjunct professor at Northwestern University, where he teaches a graduate-level course on leading global change.

He has been recognized for his work in DEI, including being named one of North America’s Most Influential D&I Leaders – 2020 by Hive Learning and being honored in Crain’s Chicago Business 2022 Notable Black Leaders and Executives. Corey earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois and his master’s degree in Agricultural and Extension Education at Michigan State University.

In addition to his professional work, Corey is an avid world traveler and fitness instructor. Corey’s story is one of inspiration and success, having been the first African-American president of the National Future Farmers of America and the first Global Head of Inclusion and Diversity at Groupon.
