Since 1995, the Executives’ Club of Chicago, together with The Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP Chicago) and the Society of Information Management Chicago (SIM Chicago), has recognized technology leaders with the CIO of the Year Award.

Criteria for selection includes leadership in driving business value and technological innovation, business partnerships, and creating best-in-class workplaces for IT professionals.

Founded in 1951, the Association of IT Professionals (AITP) remains one of the largest professional technology associations in the country.

They cover a wide range of technologies by developing close relationships with other business and technology organizations, such as Society of Information Management (SIM), Project Management Institute (PMI), Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), ISACA, InfraGard and the Executives Club of Chicago.

SIM Chicago was founded in 1968 and remains one of the largest SIM chapters in the United States. It provides a unique opportunity to interact with thought leaders and join peers in giving back to the industry and community.

They sponsor regular programs for members to network, host social and philanthropic events to enhance the community, and act as a forum for business and technology leaders in partnership with peer executive organizations in Chicago.
