Helene D. Gayle, is an American doctor and CEO of The Chicago Community Trust. Established in 1915, the Trust is one of the nation’s leading community foundations, dedicated to advance equity for all Chicagoans. In addition to her work with the Trust, Gayle also served as the AIDS Coordinator and Chief of the HIV/AIDS Division at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and, in 1995, she was appointed as the first director of the newly created National Center on HIV, TB and STD Prevention (NCHSTP). She has been named one of Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women and of Chicago’s 50 Most Powerful Women. She has spoken at the Exec Club twice.
