Douglas N. Daft is the retired Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of The Coca-Cola Company. Daft joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1969 in its Sydney, Australia office, and subsequently held various positions with the company throughout Asia. Daft was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of the company in 1999 and was elected Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 2000. He served in this position until 2004. In 2005, he was appointed Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) for his leadership in the global business community. He was the Executives’ Club of Chicago’s 2000 International Executive of the Year.
