Donald V. Fites was the Chairman and CEO of Caterpillar, Inc. from 1990 to 1999. During his tenure as CEO, Fites grew Caterpillar, the world’s #1 producer of earth-moving machinery, from a $10 billion company to a $20 billion+ company. He was the Executives’ Club of Chicago’s 1999 International Executive of the Year.
