Craig S. Donohue is an American businessman. He served as CEO of CME Group, the world’s leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, from 2004 to 2012. During his tenure, Donohue led the completion of more than $20 billion in mergers and acquisitions, including CME’s historic acquisitions of the Chicago Board of Trade in 2007 and the New York Mercantile Exchange in 2008. In 2014, Donohue joined OCC as Executive Chairman to lead transformational change across the organization. He was the Executives’ Club of Chicago’s 2009 International Executive of the Year. He most recently was a moderator at the Executives’ Club of Chicago in 2022, for “Tech, Markets and Leadership with Adena Friedman, President and CEO of Nasdaq, Inc.”
