The Executives' Club Of Chicago

WHITE CHICAGO BUSINESSWOMEN SHARE THEIR 'MICS'
WITH FEMALE BLACK LEADERS

The Executives Club of Chicago and I Choose the Ladder localize #ShareTheMicNow

WHAT: Local executives Penny Pritzker, Jennifer Scanlon, Stephanie Izard and eight other powerful women will turn their social channels over to a female Black business leader, including Phyllis Lockett, Karla Davis and Kim Lewis, plus eight others, the week of July 6 as part of #ShareTheMicNowChicago.

WHY: #ShareTheMicNow was created by New York Times best-selling authors Luvvie Ajayi Jones and Glennon Doyle, Netflix CMO Bozoma Saint John and Alice + Olivia CEO Stacey Bendet to amplify the voices of Black women and to broaden awareness and understanding of their stories and experiences.

In Chicago, the Executives’ Club has enlisted White local female executives to turn over their social networks to expand the reach of Black female executives so others can get to know them and learn from their experiences.

WHO: The 11 pairs of White and Black Chicago executives listed below. In addition to the Black women posting articles and comments in the White women’s feeds, the pair also will record a  conversation about their respective experiences that will be posted on both the White and Black women’s social channels.
