CHICAGO, IL, July 1, 2025 — The Executives’ Club of Chicago today announced that David W. Hanfland, President & CEO of Point B, has officially assumed the role of Chair of the Board of Directors. His appointment comes just weeks after the Exec Club welcomed Dorri McWhorter as its new President & CEO — a powerful moment of leadership alignment. Together, this executive duo will help guide the Exec Club through its next era of growth — deepening civic and business engagement while shaping how leadership shows up in Chicago and beyond.
“The Executives’ Club of Chicago has long been a catalyst for big ideas and bold leaders,” said Hanfland. “I’m honored to step into this role and help guide the Exec Club’s vision as we support the executives, entrepreneurs, and changemakers driving progress in Chicago.”
As Chair, Hanfland will collaborate closely with McWhorter to advance its strategic direction — one centered on the Exec Club’s mission to challenge, inspire, and activate leaders to shape business that impacts our world.
“David’s leadership is exactly what this moment calls for — visionary, collaborative, and rooted in purpose,” said McWhorter. “Together, we’re evolving how executives connect, grow, and lead with meaning — not only within their organizations, but across the region and around the world.”
With new leadership at both the executive and board level, the Executives’ Club of Chicago is poised to accelerate its impact — expanding programs, curating new forums for executive exchange, and deepening cross-sector partnerships that support the city’s ongoing economic and civic growth. The Exec Club’s next chapter will focus on catalyzing business leadership as a force for innovation, impact, and long-term prosperity in Chicago.
Hanfland succeeds Christine Schyvinck, Chairman, President & CEO of Shure Incorporated, following her completed term.
