George Floyd’s murder has sparked nationwide protests and unrest, as frustration with years of systemic racism, inequality and injustice overflowed into our nation’s streets. In line with our commitment use our platform to convene the city’s change-makers, Executives’ Club CEO Margaret Mueller will engage in conversation with Jahmal Cole, who founded My Block My Hood My City (MBMHMC) in 2014. A Crain’s 40 Under 40 honoree in 2019, Cole is a champion of social justice whose organization serves teens from low-income neighborhoods and exposes them to education and volunteer opportunities that serve Chicago communities year-round. Just last week, MBMHMC launched a fund to help Chicago small businesses impacted by widespread destruction, and throughout the pandemic has provided local seniors with vital supplies such as food, hand sanitizer and toiletries along with wellness checks.

Join us for an important conversation at noon, June 15th about how we as leaders can take positive action and support grassroots organizations in our own backyard to improve our city, and lay a foundation for the next generation.
