The idea that culture is critical to organizational capacity and success is well-known. However, many companies don’t recognize the role that politics and power play in defining culture of the business. Acknowledging the role of political and social contexts and their impact is critical to the development of an effective organizational culture.
This workshop will examine the political activities sanctioned by organizations (and not) and identify the bases of power within organizations. Workshop attendees will have the opportunity to examine scenarios of living and working with organizational politics and the various coping mechanisms for navigating power and culture.
