There is considerable evidence that sports delivers a variety of benefits to communities and individuals beyond its $73 billion market value, particularly when used as an economic catalyst. Two notable organizations in the Midwest have used sports to drive economic revitalization and growth in their communities. The Chicago Cubs organization envisioned having Wrigleyville become an entertainment hub in the City, and Whirlpool Corp. imagined that its hometown of Benton Harbor, Michigan could emerge from a rust belt community to a flourishing destination to work, live and play.

Join us for a conversation with executives representing both organizations as they discuss their visions and examine their community impacts.
