Networking Opportunities and Partnerships

To help Executives' Club members connect with the people most likely to impact their business, the ECC has established nine dynamic committees.  These committees develop programs/briefings focusing on specific topics; provide a forum for ECC members to network with others who share their special interests; recommend and nominate prospective members who will keep our organization vital and enhance the overall value of ECC membership for all.  Over 800 ECC members participate actively in over 30 yearly committee meeting and briefings.

The Club continues to seek new partnerships and strategies that enhance membership benefits and keep pace with changing needs. We have successfully convened diverse business, civic and academic organizations to share knowledge and experience, and we have built lasting partnerships with many diverse organizations, including Menttium 100, the National Association of Asian American Professionals, the National Association of Women Business Owners/Chicago Area Chapter, the National Society of Black Engineers/Chicago Alumni Extension, National Society of Hispanic MBAs, and the Young Professionals of Chicago.

The Executives’ Club continues to provide a platform for distinguished international dignitaries and business leaders, who illuminate the evolving global climate. With European Enlargement forthcoming, we welcomed diplomats from current EU member Germany as well as Hungary, a candidate for the 2004 accession. With “Operation Iraqi Freedom” focusing all eyes on the Middle East, Club members received an up to the minute report from the Department of Defense.

Chicago’s future as a successful global megacity depends on our future leaders. The Club strengthens Chicago business by providing guidance, mentoring and special programs that develop future business leaders. Our New Leaders Committee connects aspiring leaders under age 40 to seasoned executives through special receptions that inform and inspire. Through our Career Success Stories Series, accomplished business leaders, including Mellody Hobson of Ariel Capital Management, Inc./Ariel Mutual Funds and Jamie Dimon of Bank One, communicate their wit and wisdom to the next generation of top executives.
