Award Programs For more than one hundred years, The Executives’ Club has identified and shared best practices with Chicago’s business community. Building on this tradition, the Club’s Annual Awards program recognizes excellence in three categories – innovation, corporate citizenship and technology leadership. Awards are presented at the Club’s Annual Meeting each May.
The Innovator of the Year
is awarded to an individual or company in greater Chicago whose new product, service, process or business model has resulted in organic growth and measurable economic benefit to the region.
Corporate Citizen of the Year
recognizes an individual or company for outstanding contributions to the Chicagoland community in areas such as the environment, education, veterans’ initiatives, workforce development, or governance.
Since 2003, The Executives’ Club of Chicago, together with The Association of Information Technology Professionals and Society of Information Management Chicago, has recognized technology leaders with the CIO of the Year Award
. Selection considers leadership in driving business value and technological innovation, business partnerships and creating best in class workplace for IT professionals.
The International Executive of the Year
was established in 1995 to honor leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the global business community. Since its inception, this prestigious award has recognized a host of international executives including: Bill Gates, Chairman and Chief Architect of Microsoft; Jeffrey Immelt, Chairman and CEO of General Electric Company; Miles D. White, Chairman and CEO of Abbott; Jamie Dimon, Chairman of the Board and CEO, JPMorgan Chase; Glenn Tilton, Chairman, President and CEO, United Airlines; Daniel Akerson, Chairman and; CEO of General Motors; and Daniel Servitje, Chairman and CEO, Grupo Bimbo, to name a few.
